I have been visiting Grand Cayman and stayed at the Avalon with my family every January for many years now and have had a wonderful experience each time. Firstly, it is located on an unspoiled stretch of Seven Mile Beach - the beach is huge and un-crowded. Many other condos are situated near large resorts or have tiny beaches - the Avalon beach is much larger!!! We never had to worry about getting a chair nor did we ever feel cramped or forced to sit near other guests. The condo keeps the beach clean and there are not really any rocks or coral to make entering the water difficult. While the chairs are not the most comfortable, there are plenty of them along with small tables, loungers, and a few thatched huts for those who prefer shade (there are also a few cedar trees on the beach that provide shade, too). I only wish the chairs had cushions!!!

The pool is lovely and well maintained although I have never wanted to swim in it because the ocean is so wonderful. We have stayed in a few different units over the years and all of them have been clean, well appointed and comfortable. While all have patios that allow you to watch the amazing sunsets, it was nice to be in the units that were on the 1st floor so that we could walk directly onto the beach.

The Avalon condos can not be beat - by car you can easily reach restaurants, hotel spas, and town but you will not be bothered by large crowds of people on the beach. You can also take beautiful walks on the beach in both directions. You can eat lunch along the way, have a drink at a hotel bar, scuba dive or rent equipment at the nearby Westin, or just soak up the sun. Perfect!!!!

The Avalon is the most heavenly place on earth, it has evrything for that perfect vacation, gives you the feeling of being at home but when your hear those soothing waves you know you aren't.
